Lamine Sy has extended his stay with AJ Auxerre. The 24-year-old right-back signed a one-year contract extension on Thursday, tying him to the club until June 2027.

Having joined on a free transfer from Caen in the summer of 2025, Sy quickly carved out a role in the squad. He scored one goal in his sole Ligue 1 appearance this season, a decisive cameo off the bench. The club moved to reward his development and consistent work in training.

"I am very happy to continue the adventure here," the player said. He cited the working environment at the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps and the sporting project as key factors in his decision. The sporting director praised the defender's professional attitude.

This new deal comes as the team prepares for its next league fixture. Sy, who wears the number 25 shirt, will provide competition for his position in the coming months. AJA face RC Lens this Sunday afternoon at the Abbé-Deschamps.
