Former AJ Auxerre coach Christophe Pélissier has spoken out on his future after being sacked. He regrets not being able to directly discuss his situation with club owner James Zhou. "It happened quite quickly. We managed to achieve an unexpected stay in Ligue 1 by winning at Lille and I learned from the executive president, Baptiste Malherbe, that the owner (James Zhou) did not want to continue with me three days later. The difficulty for me is that I never had an explanation from the owner. Malherbe defended my record to him. I would have liked to do it myself, but I never could. I asked for a video conference with him. We were supposed to do it, but it didn't happen. It's possible that I may be able to talk to him this week, as I would like to know the motivations for this dismissal," explained the former Lorient coach. "When I have a choice to make, I listen to all parties. I heard that they said they had listened to all parties, yes, all parties, even the supporters, except me," he added. Pélissier has also spoken out on his future, announcing that he wants to join a Ligue 1 club. "I will take a little break and some time to reflect, but I now have the ambition to have the best possible project. I would like to see if a project can be released in Ligue 1 with slightly more ambitious goals. It's said that I always play for the stay, but it's because I have teams that are destined to play in this category. I think I have proven that I was capable of achieving my goal in Ligue 1, so I would like to prove it higher. When I see certain names circulating in more prestigious clubs, I think I have done as well, if not better than them. I would like to have a team with a larger budget to perform with this team. I am convinced that I will get there. All the missions I have had in Ligue 1, I have achieved them."
