AJ Auxerre announced the end of its collaboration with coach Christophe Pelissier, who had led the club to the Ligue 2 championship title in the 2023-2024 season before maintaining it in Ligue 1 over the past two seasons, with a 15th place in the league last month. Christophe Pelissier arrived on the AJA bench in October 2022 in place of Jean-Marc Furlan. Two of his assistants, Olivier Lagarde and Aurélien Denotti, also leave the Auxerre technical staff. According to L'Equipe, the Auxerre directors have chosen to replace him with Anglo-Belgian coach Will Still, who has been without a club since his departure from Southampton in November last year and has already been on the bench of two Ligue 1 formations (Reims and Lens).
